A winter morning at Scout Park … a hidden oasis in the heart of suburbia

North London Scout District owns an eight-acre campsite in Bounds Green, conveniently located just a short walk from the Piccadilly line tube station and close to the North Circular Road.

Scout Park has been a centre for local Scouting since 1928. It occupies the former site of a pottery works known as Picking’s Estate.

Robert Baden-Powell, founder of Scouting, visited Scout Park in July 1930.

Scout Park has a range of buildings and facilities for hire by Scouts and other youth groups.

It incorporates a nature reserve with 30 species of trees and 70 types of wild flowers. 30 species of birds have been recorded in the park.
